Would you like to know what Nibiru is not in relation to Yehovaw's Holy Bible? Welcome to Chapter 3, in which Pastor Floyd talks about What Nibiru Is Not |
|
Dear Visitor: Thank you for sending me your article on "THE SPOILER - WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT NIBIRU, WORMWOOD AND PLANET X" I take seriously any effort a brother of mine makes to express himself and, particularly, when that expression relates to Yehovaw's Holy Bible and to my brother's understanding of it: for each of us walks in the best understanding that he has; it is all that any of us has by which to make his or her daily decisions, for good or ill! Of course, a plus to all of that is when my brother's understanding includes an appreciation for the work of Zecharia Sitchin, a man who has spent his life seeking Yehovaw's truth as it has been revealed through the hundreds of clay tablets unearthed by archaeologists for the past hundred years or so, against the tide of those among his fellow scholars who have refused to call things what they are, for the embarrassment of admitting the existence of extraterrestrials and, worse still, the part they played in our being established as "homo sapiens", the race descending from the bible's Adam and Eve! Your article focuses upon key terms that you believe represent Nibiru or Planet X - "the Spoiler" and "the Great Day of the Lord", the term "Wormwood" being in the Book of Revelation, all of which, I would assume, relates, in your view, per Mr. Sitchin's writings, to Nibiru's crossing the plane in which the other planets of our solar system have their orbits! I must assume what these scriptures mean to you; because, in your providing of them, you give precious little interpretation of them, by which one might ascertain why you believe that their key terms relate to Nibiru. So let us look at each of the references you give and discuss what it seems to say and then relate that, if possible, to what Mr. Sitchin has revealed to us from out of the Sumerian records about the existence of Nibiru as the 12th planet of our solar system! You comment on the following group of scriptures, by writing: "See how many times "The Spoiler" comes up?" So let us read about "the Spoiler":
Here, "the spoiler", which "ceaseth", is compared to "the extortioner", who is "at an end", and "the oppressors", who "are consumed out of the land"! (Isaiah 16:4) That implies, to me, a group of people who have been treating their neighbors hatefully, the removal of which is an improvement that is expected when Yehovaw will have returned through Yeshuaw, sat on David's throne and ruled with righteousness! In fact, the next verse of that same passage reads:
That "clearing of the deck" is suggested, also, by a verse in Revelation, where Yehovaw wrote, through Yeshuaw, through His faithful apostle John:
"Them who destroy the Earth" (Revelation 11:18) is suggestive of "the Spoiler", which "ceaseth", "the extortioner", who is "at an end", and "the oppressors", who "are consumed out of the land"! (Isaiah 16:4) Obviously, with the exception of the Spoiler, these are wicked people, while the Spoiler, being a single source of mayhem, would seem to be Satan, whose lies and temptations are behind what the wicked people of Earth do! So, in this particular passage (Isaiah 16:4), the Spoiler is hardly suggestive of Nibiru, whose effect upon Earth has been physical, not moral - indeed catastrophic, as in the Great Flood, but not necessarily so, as in other crossings it has made over the millennia, when such destruction was not the case! You might well argue that the bible's rendition of the Great Flood did indeed characterize it as a judgment upon the people of Earth, Yehovaw having said, to Noah:
But, even granting that moral or spiritual aspect of the Great Flood from the bible account's point of view, Mr. Sitchin has shown that it was caused by a crossing of Nibiru at a time when mankind had lost the favor of Enlil, the Anunnaki with the most authority on Earth at that time. At the same time the Sumerian records show Enki's care for mankind (The Lost Book of Enki - Sitchin), despite his half-brother's hostility toward them, together with an intercession by Galzu, presumably an angel from "the Creator of All", resulting in Enki's swiftly outfitting of Noah with an Anunnaki ship having underwater capability! And that accommodation in contrast to Enlil's hostility toward mankind, shows the cataclysm to have been more a physical phenomenon to be dealt with at a time when Anunnaki attitudes toward humanity were not entirely the one-sided judgment of Yehovaw that is shown by the bible! Also to be noted from Mr. Sitchin's account is Enlil's change of attitude, once the survival of Noah and his family and party had demonstrated an hope for mankind, together with the strong sentiment for the earthlings shared by so many of the Anunnaki, who had agonized, from their orbiting rocket ships above, as they had watched the drowning of nearly the entire race of mankind, who in their capacity of faithful servants to them had become such an integral part of their lives! You referred your reader to:
In that verse Yehovaw compares "the Spoiler", who "spoileth", with "the treacherous dealer", who "dealeth treacherously", who cause "the sighing thereof", which Yehovaw will cause to "cease" (Isaiah 21:2), when He has caused the Medes and Persians to besiege Babylon, as the 9th verse of that prophecy confirms:
That relates to a judgment of Yehovaw that destroyed Babylon, centuries before our present expectancy for Yehovaw's return through Yeshuaw, to rule over the nations with righteousness; and by now one can see that "the Spoiler" is Satan, who works through his wicked servants to despoil Yehovaw's children in the lands where Yehovaw is not honored and obeyed! You then drop down a few verses:
From the Book of Revelation we expect Yehovaw's return through Yeshuaw, as in His vision to John He portrays it, writing through John, of the "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS" (Revelation 19:16):
At an appointed time, Yehovaw's judgment will indeed manifest on Earth, with a "fierceness and wrath" never before seen; and it will be occasioned by what will come out of Yeshuaw's mouth, His being Yehovaw "the Word"! (John 1:1) In other words Yehovaw will command the smiting of the nations as a prelude to His ruling them "with a rod of iron"! (Revelation 19:15) But the assumption that Yehovaw will necessarily use one of Nibiru's crossings to accomplish that judgment is hardly warranted, when, according to the Sumerian records, so many of them have come and gone with no such manifestation! In fact, the incident of the Great Flood was a combination of factors not only of Nibiru's appearance but also of a particularly unstable condition of the Antarctic's ice shelf, which was then pulled off its base by Nibiru's gravity; so that tragedy was, actually, an exceptional occasion not typified by all the other of Nibiru's crossings! You referred your reader to:
With my having characterized "the Spoiler" as Satan, this particular prophecy assuredly speaks of a judgment attended by him with Yehovaw's permission! (Job 1:12; 2:6) And the verse leading into the one you have quoted gives us a fair idea of the specific form in which that judgment was to come:
From the Book of Job one learns that, when He has a correctional work to perform, Yehovaw sometimes lets Satan be the executer of the spoiling to be accomplished! To Satan Yehovaw said, of Job:
Then, when stripping Job of all his possessions, some of it by attacks from "the enemy" (Jeremiah 6:25), had not accomplished the task, Yehovaw said, to Satan:
Job's being given into his hand, Satan "smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown"! (Job 2:7) So, from this example, we learn that both physical deprivations by attacks from "the enemy" (Jeremiah 6:25) and ill health are the works of Yehovaw through Satan, when people have things to learn, even Job, of whom Yehovaw boasted, to Satan:
You referred your reader to:
When widows are increased, war is implied, which destroys the men who fight them; and behind that activity we again find "a Spoiler" (Jeremiah 15:8) - a single entity charged with causing the destruction that war visits upon the men of any country! Nibiru, a planet, when it crosses the planes of orbit occupied by the other bodies of our solar system, does not cause war! It is a physical body with mass and a gravitational pull that has its effect upon anything that comes near it; but that is the extent of its influence! You referred your reader to:
That verse is best understood by reading the verse before it:
Yehovaw has warned, through His prophet, that He will be letting "the Spoiler ... come upon every city" (Jeremiah 48:8) - specifically, "because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures" (Verse 7) rather than in Yehovaw's works and in what He treasures, according to the commandments of His toraw! The Spoiler, whom I believe is Satan, "shall come upon every city" because of people's sin; and Nibiru, which is a planet committed to a certain orbit involving cyclic periods that have nothing to do with mankind's sin cannot do that; you referred your reader to: Yehovaw occasionally uses the figure of a woman to represent a people; and, whereas, according to this prophecy, the daughter of Dibon should abandon her glory, the result of her chastisement will be the destruction of her strongholds, which implies a rather broad range of destruction, not the doing in of one person! This particular prophecy focuses upon Moab! Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet:
"Slaughter" is a term far more typical of what armies do than what planets do, when they approach and affect another planet, as Nibiru does to Earth and other planets in our solar system when it crosses their planes of orbit! The Great Flood did not "slaughter" people; it drowned them. "Therefore will I howl for Moab" (Jeremiah 48:31), Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet, which leads into the next verse to which you referred:
Is a planet so selective that it will have "fallen upon" a people's "summer fruits and ... vintage"? But those are things that an enemy most particularly targets, is it not?
I quote that verse, as the scriptural background for the prophecy you quoted next, which background is iterated in the 55th verse, immediately before the verse you selected:
Amazingly, in that verse, we are told exactly Who "the Spoiler" is, to Whom the following verse makes specific reference, along with a further confirmation of Whose requiting is involved in the Spoiler's work! Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet:
Then you introduce another group of scriptures, by writing:
Since the above section of scriptures focused upon "the Spoiler", I would have to assume, in the absence of further clarification, that you regard "The Great Day of the Lord" as referring essentially to the same phenomenon you believe is related to "the Spoiler", which the title of your article implies you believe to be a crossing of Nibiru! So let us see how that works out with the scriptures you have provided!
Your declared theme is "The Great Day of the Lord"! But this passage refers, simply, to "the sun"! (Psalm 19:4) It rightly reminds us that "the heavens declare the glory of God" (Verse 1) And Nibiru certainly is in those heavens, as one more part of that glory! But we have yet to learn how that relates to "The Great Day of the Lord"! The 13th chapter of Isaiah is about Babylon! Verse 1 speaks of "the burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see"! In Verse 5 Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet:
Then the scope of Isaiah 13 seems to enlarge and become a worldwide phenomenon, possibly suggesting that "the Day of the Lord" (Verse 6) is the worldwide effect that Nibiru might well cause! And we read:
Notice, please, that by Isaiah 13:9 the prophecy is still limited to "the land" - of "Babylon"! (Verse 1) Then we encounter five verses that are often quoted, which suggest a scope of influence for "the Day of the Lord" that could well exceed the boundaries of Babylon and that do suggest astronomical phenomena that might attend one of Nibiru's visits:
But the temptation to attribute a worldwide and even an astronomical significance at least to that portion of the prophecy is soon quashed, as it returns to very specific references to Babylon:
One can, as so many do, lift Verses 10 to 14 out of their context and claim that the prophecy has a duel significance - one for Babylon and another for the world in the end times; and, if that is his or her preference, I would not argue the matter for a second! But I choose to give poetic license to the prophet and keep prophecy to its obviously intended significance, lest people's interpretations of the bible include unwarranted speculations covering too much ground or too many timeframes! The 24th chapter of Isaiah, to which you understandably refer your reader, in pursuit of the catastrophic events that can be anticipated for Nibiru's visitation, goes all out in references, verse after verse, to "the Earth" (Verse 1), even to its reeling "to and fro like a drunkard" and being "removed like a cottage", even that "it shall fall and not rise again"! (Verse 20) "Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed," Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet (Isaiah 24:23); but that would be "when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before His ancients gloriously" (Verse 23), which poses a problem; for why would "the Lord of hosts ... reign in mount Zion and in Jerusalem" with the sun and moon in those compromised conditions? Truly, the language that Yehovaw has given His children by which to communicate is awkward, at best! And we are continually cautioned, by such places as the above (Isaiah 24:23) not to struggle too hard trying to demystify them: for what we believe about them will not make that much difference in the effect the actual event will have upon us, while what we believe concerning His requirement upon us (Deuteronomy 28:1 and 2) makes all the difference in the world as to how everything effects us every moment of our lives! In the 2nd chapter of Joel, which is your next reference to a scripture that you believe typifies one of Nibiru's visits, we find more of the language over which such fervor has arisen in relation to the end times, the first three verses giving a good sample of it:
Here we again encounter "the Day of the Lord" (Joel 2:1); and it would be a day when "a great people and a strong" (Verse 2) would move with a devastation comparable to a "fire" (Verse 3), which "devoureth before them" (Verse 3) "and nothing shall escape them". (Verse 3) And again we must ask, What has an invading army got to do with the effects of a planet's crossing the orbital planes of the planets of our solar system? To appreciate the significance of Zephaniah 1:14 and 15 and its mention as well of "the Day of the Lord" (Verses 14), one must again look to the context of that prophecy, which begins with Verse 12:
When "goods shall become a booty" (Zephaniah 1:13), one is obliged to infer a foreign invasion! For the word "booty" is a King James translation for a word meaning "plunder"! (Strong: Hebrew: 4933) And that cannot imply other than an attack by an enemy, who upon vanquishing a people take whatever they choose! Even with the typical forecast of "wrath", "trouble and distress", "wasteness and desolation", "darkness and gloominess", "clouds and thick darkness", its bottom line focuses upon "the great Day of the Lord" (Zephaniah 1:14) and its being "a day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities and against the high towers" (Verse 16), which specifically implies an attack by an enemy and not a planet! Your attention then turns to the New Testament and to Yehovaw's prophecy through Yeshuaw, which focuses upon "the Abomination of Desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet" (Matthew 24:15), which would "stand in the Holy Place"! (Verse 15) "The Holy Place" was in Yehovaw's temple in Jerusalem; and who would stand there as an abomination to Him other than an enemy, which took place in 70 A.D., when Titus, a Roman general, not only desecrated the temple but had it burned to the ground? The verse to which you then make reference is the 29th:
Of course that prophecy expresses the same gloom and doom that characterizes those above when they speak of "the great Day of the Lord"! (Zephaniah 1:14) But this time the gloom attends Yehovaw's return through Yeshuaw, which we read about in the following verse:
That will be the invasion of Yeshuaw Himself, of Whom Yehovaw wrote, through Yeshuaw, through His faithful apostle John:
So again, this has to do with Yehovaw as a world power through Yeshuaw, altering the course of mankind by forcefully overtaking them and ruling over them, which a planet's simply moving in the orbit assigned to it can hardly do! Luke's account of the same prophecy (Luke 21:25 to 28) adds little to that fundamental insight, while the prophecy of Peter to which you refer your reader brings nothing but confusion:
The reason that verse leaves me confused is, simply, that after Yeshuaw's return, His saints "shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years" (Revelation 20:6), His psalmist having declared, "He built His sanctuary like high palaces, like the Earth, which He hath established for ever!" (Psalm 78:69) And how can that be with "the Earth ... burned up"? (2nd Peter 3:10) The final scripture reference you gave in your article is Revelation 8:7 to 12, in which
This is extremely cryptic language and difficult to fathom or relate to events that we know anything about, much less to any crossing by Nibiru! The First Angel's sounding was attended by fire, from which "the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up" (Revelation 8:7); and the question arises, What would the nearness of Nibiru for awhile have to do with such extensive burning? The Second Angel's sounding will cause "the third part of the sea" to become "blood" (Revelation 8:8), which will take the life of "the third part of the creatures that were in the sea" (Verse 9); so again we must ask, What would the nearness of Nibiru for awhile have to do with such pollution of the sea? The Third Angel's sounding will have virtually the same effect "upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters" (Revelation 8:10), taking life by making the waters "bitter" (Verse 11) rather than blood; so again we must ask, What would the nearness of Nibiru for awhile have to do with such pollution of Earth's rivers and wells? Furthermore, the bitterness of "the rivers and ... the fountains of waters" (Revelation 8:10) was caused by "a great star from Heaven, burning as it were a lamp", which then "fell upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters" (Verse 10), the name of which star was "Wormwood" (Verse 11), another name that the title of your article implies relates to Nibiru's crossing of our solar system. But how can that be, when by the prophecy Wormwood "fell upon" the rivers and waters to make them bitter? As for the Fourth Angel, what crossing of Nibiru would obscure the sun, moon and stars, to where none of them could be seen for "a third part of" the day and night? These various effects are described as having selectivity and limitation; so how can they be the result of a planet's nearby passing? In a later email you sent, as an addendum to these considerations, I must assume, a prophecy from the book of Daniel, where "the Ancient of Days" is mentioned:
Again, in the absence of any comment by you as to what significance you find in that passage, I can only tell you what it means to me and let you compare that interpretation with what you had in mind in sending it to me. Daniel described the Ancient of Days as having a garment that was "white as snow" (Daniel 7:9), the hair of His head being "like the pure wool"! That compares well to the apostle John's description of Yeshuaw, particularly where he wrote that "His head and His hairs were white like wool"! (Revelation 1:14) The prophetic scene that Daniel was permitted to see related to a time of judgment! "The judgment was set," he wrote; "and the books were opened!" (Daniel 7:10) But the scene was not over! For Daniel then wrote:
For a biblically informed student it is difficult to miss, in that passage, the idea that "the Ancient of Days" (Daniel 7:13) is Yehovaw the Father, while the "one like the Son of man", Whose "kingdom ... shall not be destroyed" (Verse 14) is Yeshuaw or Yehovaw the Son, Who is "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS"! (Revelation 19:16) The vision Yehovaw gave Daniel in this particular chapter showed four beasts, the fourth of which was "dreadful and terrible and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it". (Daniel 7:7) The matter is then brought home to us a few verses later, when Daniel wrote:
Since we have not seen Yeshuaw's kingdom on Earth, which "the saints of the most High shall take" (Daniel 7:18), the world is, prophetically speaking, still under the domination of the Fourth Beast, which biblical scholars agree represents Rome! And, would you not know that those who wished to circumvent the constitution of these united states of America adopted Roman law as the means by which to accomplish their wicked scheme! And, to the degree that people have been willing to let them, these usurpers and impostors have well succeeded, thus fulfilling Yehovaw's prophecy through Daniel that Yeshuaw's eternal kingdom on Earth would not be seen until His saints take that kingdom from the Fourth Beast! But, again, Daniel is not through telling us about "the Ancient of Days"! (Daniel 7:22) The Fourth Beast would have "ten horns" (Verse 20), one of which "had eyes and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows". (Verse 20) And of that horn Daniel wrote:
This prophecy compares favorably to that of Yehovaw through Yeshuaw through His faithful apostle John, who wrote:
All of the above from Daniel's prophesying is fascinating to a prophecy buff like myself; but our preoccupation, as it was set forth by your article, has been how all of these things compare with what Zecharia Sitchin has revealed about the Anunnaki and their home planet, Nibiru, which, being a part of our solar system, visits the other planets of that system every 3600 years - or used to, until, in Mr. Sitchin's view, its orbit deteriorated to being more nearly 3200 years in duration. I believe you would have to agree that, upon close examination, "the Spoiler" of Yehovaw's Holy Bible is Yehovaw's working through Satan to visit judgment upon the wicked among His people and that "the Ancient of Days" as seen by Daniel is Yehovaw bestowing upon Yeshuaw His everlasting kingdom on Earth! So what has all that to do with the Anunnaki and Nabiru? I am sorry to have to say it; but I find little correlation between the prophecies we have examined and the affairs of our ancient forefathers from Nabiru! Furthermore, in his latest book, The End of Days, Mr. Sitchin argues strongly against Nibiru's orbits having much to do with the most significant events of our history, which correlate instead with the 2,160 years that it takes for Earth to fall behind one section of the zodiac, a process called among astronomers "precession"! Let me explain: Each year the Earth makes its way around the sun and through the twelve sections of sky characterized by the twelve constellations that have become known as "the zodiac"! But in exactly one year's time, it does not make it all the way to where it was one year before! Rather, it falls behind, slightly - so slightly that it takes 72 years to fall behind one degree of the 360 degrees that mathematically make up a circle! And, considering that one twelfth of 360 degrees is 30 degrees, 72 times 30 degrees is 2,160, the number of years that it takes Earth to fall back and enter another "house" of the zodiac at the appointed time! Correlating that astronomical fact with significant events in our history, such as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the entire civilization of Sumer along with them in 2,026 B.C.E. and the start soon afterward through Abraham of the children of Israel, a people who would carry the Sumerian torch for "the Creator of All" (The Lost Book of Enki, Zecharia Sitchin), another such event's being the crucifixion of the Son of God, which through His resurrection began a new, Spirit-led level of functioning for the children of Israel, which the bible and people of today call "the church", we find that the most plausible expectancy for a key event to take place is when the new zodiacal age begins, which is "the Age of Aquarius", to the arrival of which I am not qualified to affix a date! You will have to check such things out for yourself, my friend; for I have given you the benefit only of my best understanding of these things. I am, by no means, a competent scholar of them, my focus having been and being still upon what Yehovaw requires of His children to be blessed and saved regardless of what age one may be living in or how these events may come down, all of which can be found in His toraw and in the teachings of Yeshuaw concerning it; He said:
